Intratracheal pneumonic ventilation (ITPV) is a type of tracheal gas insufflation wherein all gas arises in a cephalad bearing from the tip of an opposite push catheter situated inside an endotracheal tube. In vitro tests have shown that this fast gas stream, with 5 ml/h of typical saline added to the gas stream, persistently eliminates tracheal discharges from inside the endotracheal tube. The creators assessed its adequacy to eliminate bodily fluid in long haul concentrates in sheep.
