The Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology express gratitude to all its elite panel of Editorial Board members for their continuous efforts, support and encouragement throughout the publication journey, right from its inception in the year 2016.

Journal offer a forum for publishing works that contribute immunological methods to the neurological sciences advancement. Studies in all branches of neuroscience, particularly fundamental and applied neurobiology, neurology, neuropathology, neurochemistry, neurovirology, neuroendocrinology, neuromuscular research, neuropharmacology and psychology involving either immunological methodology (e.g. immunocytochemistry) or fundamental immunology (e.g. antibody and lymphocyte assays) are considered for publication. A major focus is work related to multiple sclerosis, HIV, lateral amyotrophic sclerosis, Guillain Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and brain tumors. The Journal's scope is broad, covering neuroscientific interest in both research and clinical issues. The Journal's main objective is to foster the development of immunological approaches to further analyze the interactions and specific properties of nervous tissue elements during development and disease.

Neuroimmunology is a field that combines neuroscience (nervous system study) and immunology (immune system study). Neuroimmunologists seek to better understand the interactions during development, homeostasis, and response to injuries between these two complex systems. A long-term objective of this rapidly developing area of research is to further develop our understanding of the pathology of certain neurological diseases, some of which do not have a clear etiology.

Neuroimmunology helps develop new pharmacological treatments for multiple neurological conditions. Many types of interactions involve both the nervous and immune systems, including, but not limited to, the physiological functioning of the two systems in both health and disease, the malfunctioning of either and or both disorder-induced systems, and the physical, chemical and environmental stressors that affect both systems on a daily basis. Neuroimmunological research on these diseases has produced evidence including the absence of simple Mendelian patterns of inheritance, global transcriptional dysregulation, multiple types of pathogenic alterations of RNA, and much more.

Research has shown that deregulation of associated epigenetic processes in ASDs can alter gene expression and brain function without triggering classical genetic defects that are more readily due to the relationship between cause and effect. In the review process, Journal of Clinical & Experimental Neuroimmunology uses the Editorial Tracking System. Editorial Tracking is an online system used by most of the best open access journals to submit, review and track manuscripts. Review evaluation is carried out by members of the editorial board of journal or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by the approval of the editor is required to accept any citable manuscript.
