Title: “Calcinosis Cutis Associated with Severe Atherosclerosis and Severe Calcific Aortic Stenosis: Case Report

Abstract: Calcinosis cutis is a condition of accumulation of calcium salts within the dermis. We report a case in which Calcinosis cutis is combined with severe cardiac involvement. Our patient suffered from Calcinosis cutis for about 40 years. Except dermal symptoms she presents with severe diffuse cardiovascular calcification. These involve calcification of large and middle arteries (such as femoral arteries, superior mesenteric artery), diffuse severe coronary atherosclerosis, pronounced calcification and phlebitis of the leg veins and calcification of cardiac valves including severe aortic stenosis and calcified mitral valve. Calcinosis cutis is a condition of accumulation of calcium salts within the dermis. We are presenting a case of Calcinosis cutis, with special clinical presentations, with normal serum calcium and phosphorus levels.

The patient has severe calcific aortic stenosis, calcified mitral valve, diffuse severe coronary atherosclerosis, and other large vessels such as femoral artery and artery meseterica superior and pronounced calcification and phlepitis the leg veins.
